This Pecan Cream Cake also known as Italian Cream Cake was easy to make, yet took a little bit of time. The recipe was a hit with my family, friends and co-workers. It’s now requested for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and sometimes “just because”.
The recipe for the cake was found on Saveur.com, and it’s one of my favorite Southern recipes because when I’m making and serving it, I feel like I’m stepping in the shoes of my late grandmother Alice. She made ALL of her cakes from scratch, including one of my favorites – Apple Jelly Cake.
If you love pecans, coconut, cream cheese and vanilla, I encourage you to definitely give this recipe a try and DO follow the directions exactly. 🙂
